Expansions and Developments at JIPL

There have been a number of exciting new developments at JIPL lately. Due to business growth and market demand we’ve grown our team with an experienced process engineering manager. Simon Nowlan comes with a demonstrated history of working in the building materials industry.

Simon is a skilled engineering professional with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) focused on Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham. Simon has extensive experience in Project Management, Business Process, Value Stream Mapping, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), VA/VE, and Six Sigma.

Simon worked for a number of years at Assa Abloy where he was responsible for the industrialisation of new products (New Product Introduction), taking products from concept right through to full production. He was also responsible for VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) for the entire ASSA ABLOY NZ Group. Here he focussed on reducing the manufacturing costs of products without affecting form or function.

Simon concentrates his time and energy on ensuring successful, cost-effective outcomes for his customers. He is also interested in the implementation of new processes and equipment for new product introduction and for any process upgrade and improvements.

JIPL has a number of new projects on the go spanning a range of industries, among them the materials finishing industry, including metal and pretreatment finishing for which Simon’s skills with design and experience with cost reduction techniques are ideal.
