The growing pollution of our environment and water sources threatens all of us. INVENT, the world leader in wastewater treatment and available exclusively in New Zealand through JIPL focuses on fields where they believe they can make a difference and have built a technology portfolio dedicated to maximising efficiencies in wastewater treatment.
INVENT are the market leaders in mixing and aeration and are constantly working on new applications in the field of mixing technology as well as the development of aeration systems for wastewater and drinking water treatment.
INVENT developed and optimized the TEX-FLEX® -Aeration System for demanding applications in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants. For industrial applications, in particular, the use of conventional membrane diffusers are limited, needing to be frequently replaced in order to guarantee trouble-free operation of the plant. The TEX-FLEX®– System provides a reliable alternative. Its robust stainless-steel construction and its textile membrane, which is both chemically and thermally highly resistant, make it ideal for the most aggressive applications.
In 2014 ago INVENT installed a TEX-FLEX® aeration system consisting of 15 liftable modules, each with 12 aeration elements in a large refinery owned by energy conglomerate ExxonMobil which process about 6 million tons of oil every year. These high-quality INVENT products provide reliable aeration of the highly sensitive wastewater in the petroleum refinery.
The liftable TEX-FLEX® module consists of a TEX-FLEX® aeration grid, complete with bracket and steel beam. The grid is made of pre-assembled rust-free premium stainless steel tubes, whose openings are equipped with fine-meshed membranes of textile fibres. Robust hoses feed the air in.
The 15 modules were installed in a ring-shaped wastewater tank with an external diameter of 22.5 m and an internal diameter of 12.5 m. The tank’s capacity is about 1,575 cubic meters. Aeration is needed for chemical processes that treat organic compounds in the wastewater, which arise from oil processing.
For the last eight years, the operators have been very satisfied with their maintenance-free INVENT aeration system.
